Imagine rich, dark chocolate swirling with the intoxicating aroma of coffee, all nestled within a crisp, crumbly crust. Each bite a symphony of textures and flavors, bursting with decadence and ready to melt your worries away."

Ingredients:

For the Crust:

  • 2 cups biscuit crumbs (Choose your favorite biscuits for added flavor)
  • 1 cup melted salted butter

For the Filling:

  • 2 cups fresh cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp instant coffee (Use a good-quality instant coffee for robust flavor)
  • 1 cup melted chocolate (Dark or semi-sweet chocolate works well)
  • 1/4 cup cream (for cornflour slurry)
  • 4 tbsp cornflour (for cornflour slurry)

For Decoration (Optional):

  • Meringue (for eggless version)
  • Nuts (Pecans, almonds, or hazelnuts for added crunch)
  • Whipped cream (Freshly whipped cream for a light and airy texture)
  • Praline (Crushed caramelized nuts for a sweet and nutty touch)

Instructions:

Crust:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine 2 cups of biscuit crumbs with the melted salted butter.
  • Choose biscuits that complement the overall flavor profile you desire.
  • Transfer the biscuit and butter mixture into a 9-inch round tart pan, ensuring an even distribution.
  • Using the back of a spoon, firmly press the mixture into the bottom of the pan and up the sides to form a uniform crust.
  • Place the tart pan in the refrigerator for 30-45 minutes or until the crust sets properly.

Filling:

  • In a saucepan set over medium heat, warm 2 cups of fresh cream until it reaches a gentle simmer.
  • While the cream is heating, in a small bowl, create a cornflour slurry by mixing 1/4 cup of cream with 4 tbsp of cornflour. Set this thick paste aside.
  • Add 1 1/2 tsp of instant coffee to the simmering cream and stir to infuse the coffee flavor.
  • Pour the melted chocolate into the cream-coffee mixture and combine thoroughly.
  • Introduce the cornflour slurry into the chocolate-coffee-cream mixture, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  • Continue to cook the filling until it comes to a gentle boil, allowing it to thicken to the desired consistency.
  • Once thickened, remove the filling from heat and promptly pour it into the chilled tart crust, ensuring an even spread.

Decoration:

  • Depending on your preference, decorate the tart with your choice of toppings:
    1. Sprinkle nuts (pecans, almonds, or hazelnuts) for added texture and flavor.
    2. Dollop freshly whipped cream for a light and airy contrast.
    3. Generously spread praline over the tart for a sweet and nutty crunch.
    4. If opting for the meringue decoration, spread it evenly over the chilled tart, creating peaks with a spatula.
  • Refrigerate the completed tart for an additional 1-2 hours to allow the toppings to set and flavors to meld.
  • Serve chilled slices of this delightful no-bake eggless coffee chocolate tart, savoring the rich combination of coffee and chocolate in every bite.

"Enjoy this indulgent treat and share the delightful experience with friends and family!"
