Ingredients:

  • 1 cup super fine sugar
  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 cup homemade dahi (yogurt)
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups maida (all-purpose flour)
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda

Instructions:

Prepare the Batter:

  • In a mixing bowl, combine super fine sugar, vegetable oil, homemade dahi, and buttermilk.
  • Mix until smooth and well combined.

Sift Dry Ingredients:

  • Sift in maida, cocoa powder, baking powder, and baking soda into the wet mixture.

Final Mix:

  • Give it a final mix until the batter is well combined and smooth.

Transfer to Pan:

Bake:

  • Bake in a preheated oven at 180 degrees Celsius for about 15 to 20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

Cool and Cut Layers:

  • Allow the cake to cool completely, then cut it into layers using a three-inch ring.

Nutella Banana Bento Cake:

Ingredients:

  • Eggless Chocolate Sponge (previously prepared)
  • Sliced bananas
  • Nutella or chocolate spread

Instructions:

Prepare the Chocolate Sponge:

  • Use the eggless chocolate sponge previously prepared. Ensure it has cooled completely.

Cut Layers:

  • Cut the chocolate sponge into layers using a three-inch ring or any preferred size.

Layering:

  • Place one layer of chocolate sponge on a serving plate or in a bento box.
